Poor quality, very bad odor. I’ve tried everything from moth balls, wiping with vinegar, we even carried them outside and let them sit outside in the sun for an afternoon. It’s been a month and still can’t walk into my sons room.

I just finished putting together a 42 page laundry room cabinet hutch easily.
These instructions are truly lacking!!
There are no holes where you need to put screws! Do you have to guess!!

It fell apart and we have been told we cannot get a replacement part. It is not something we can not fix or try to fix. The screw was not long enough so it wore out and split all the wood on the bottom drawer. So frustrated as this was the perfect size.

In the past, I’ve had a very good experience with nearly everything I’ve purchased from Barwefurniture. This dresser is the exception to that rule. We finally got it to work in an acceptable fashion, but just barely. First of all, over the past several years my husband and I have successfully assembled multiple pieces of furniture, including at least three dressers, from other manufacturers. This one went along well until the very last step when we tried to put the large drawers into the dresser and found they would not shut. It took a while, but we realized they were stopping at the point where the rail was attached to the insider of the dresser, apparently catching on the screws. We noticed during the assembly process that the pilot hole for these screws was hardly visible and had thought then that it would have been easier with a larger hole to guide the screws in. We ended up using an awl to punch a hole into the last hole on the inside rails instead of the third from the end as was indicated by the pilot holes provided. This allowed us to get it in straighter and the drawers do work, sort of. If this were meant for everyday use, or use by a child, we would be returning it. We only use it for storage, so it won’t be opened and closed very often; this is not the way I want to feel about my furniture, but I’ve decided to live with it as finding something to fit in the available space was very difficult. In addition, I’m still not over the fact that while I was deciding whether or not to purchase this dresser, I got an offer through my daily bulletin from the NYT for this very dresser from Barwefurniture for about $25 less than the listed price. I actually tried to purchase it at the lower price, but the price reverted to the higher price every time I tried to get it at the advertised price. I wrote to Barwefurniture about this experience when I placed my order at the higher price and asked then for an adjustment to the price but they never responded. This is so unlike my previous experiences with Barwefurniture that I am wondering what happened to them during COVID. Bottom line, it will probably be a long time before I consider purchasing something from Barwefurniture again unless this situation can be rectified satisfactorily.

Very disappointed with this purchase. Cheap melamine construction. Pieces don’t all go together smoothly. The drawers are all slightly crooked when finished. It was expensive, it looks bad, it doesn’t feel at all durable, the drawer hardware is flimsy, and it smells awful. It has been airing out for a month but the room still smells like the first day this was in the room.

This dresser looks great and was fairly easy to build (2 people2 hours) but the drawers can be a tad touchy and sometimes get stuck when pushingpulling them out.

Packaging was very sturdy. Dresser was as shown on the site and met expectations. The instructions estimated assembly to be 45min but it took us (2 people) almost 2 hours. Some instructions we a little unclear and we took our time to make sure screws and items were placed correctly. There was also one slight mark on one of the knobs. Otherwise the dresser feels sturdy and drawers are spacious.
