Nope. Do not get this box if you are looking for something water resistant. Yes, it resisted the actual rain falling but it collects a lot of water on the top and as soon as it’s opened the water pours in the back. This happened last night and the photo is from the morning, so there was even more there. I did a lot of research and based on all of the good reviews I took a chance. It’s a good size but much flimsier than my other deck box by suncast. Very thin plastic and very wobbly. I wanted it for my outdoor couch cushions but if I use this I believe they will quickly become a moldy mess. To send it back I’d have to pay shipping so…….

We love our new deck box. 150 gallons is perfect for the chair pads. It was super easy and fast to put together and I did it by myself. It was a fast free shipping and a very good price and I did shop around. It is under the eaves so I don’t know how water tight it is and I don’t care. It can be used as a bench (strong) or a table to serve food when closed. Or a dog seat! Love it….

I like it. I found the instructions a tiny bit tedious trying to put it together. Some parts aren’t super obvious what they are trying to tell you to do. But I gave myself some time to figure it out and put it togetherness in about a half hour or so. I did it with it second set of hands too. I was worried mostly about the lid but it was actually the easiest part. It will easily hold all my cushions. Will it hold up forever, nope. But it will do for now.

Unfortunately I waited to open the box and put this together for several months because when I finally did, come to find out it’s broken in several places and is difficult to open and shut. I’m sure it leaks water into it too since the one whole side is broken where the screws should hold it together. Complete waste of money.

I’m so happy I purchased this deck box. I can store all my outdoor cushions now also have room for some of my gardening items as well as my wood chips for my smoker. It’s very sturdy and was easy to put together by myself and all I needed was a screwdriver. We recently had two days of torrential rains from a hurricane and the inside is completely dry.
